Infant - Preschool

Our hope is that your child learns that God MADE me, LOVES me and Jesus wants to be my forever FRIEND.

The Farm and The Neighborhood are our weekly environments created especially for your infant, six weeks through preschool-aged children. We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning so your child can plan on singing, dancing, and playing as your child learns about God.

Xkidz Farm (6 weeks – 2 year)

The Farm is an imaginary rural farmland where our infants are cared for. Our goal in the Farm is to give you, the parents, a peace of mind as you drop off your little ones. We teach every child that God loves them, God made them and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

Xkidz Neighborhood (3 – 5 years)

The Neighborhood is where 2 to 5 year olds meet in small groups. We use music, clubhouse and small groups to help preschoolers build quality friendships with their adult leaders and kids their age. Our teaching focuses on these 3 basic truths that build the necessary foundation to prepare them for their elementary years:  God MADE me, God LOVES me, and Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever.

Parent FAQs

How does drop-off and pick-up work?

When you arrive at our one of our check-in kiosks, you will use a digital check-in with your phone number to check-in each child. Each child you check-in will be given a tag to be placed on the back of his or her shirt and you will also receive a printed number that you will need for pick-up. Important note: You will not be able to pick up your child without this number so please plan to keep the number somewhere safe. Your child will be placed in a classroom based on his or her age and developmental stage. When you pick up your child, you will hand your check-in number to the Farm or Neighborhood worker and he or she will check that the numbers match before releasing the child.

What is the curriculum?

Our preschool ministry uses the Orange Rethink curriculum.

What classroom will my child be placed in?

Classrooms are set up according to developmental stage and age range.

  • Infants
  • Crawlers
  • Walkers
  • One Year Olds
  • Two Year Olds
  • Three Year Olds
  • Four Year Olds

If your child is above his age range developmentally, we will ask you if it is okay to move him up to the next age range. We have promotion Sunday once a year where we move children up according to age range.

What safety precautions are made for my child?

We strive to provide excellence in all of our environments. In our preschool ministry one of the ways we keep your child safe is by providing background checks on each of his teachers. Teachers are also trained twice a year on best child practices for working with your preschooler. Our check-in and drop-off system (as mentioned earlier) is another safety precaution we make.

What snacks are my child fed in the Farm?

Snacks vary for the different ages in our Farm rooms, but on a typical Sunday, we provide Cheerios and Goldfish.

What if my child has allergies?

When you arrive to check-in your child for the first time, please notify one of the volunteers at check-in and your child will receive a pink slip to wear on his or her back. The volunteer will then make a note of the allergy on our rosters so that in the future your child will always receive a pink slip without reminder. Your child’s room volunteer has been trained to pay attention to these pink slips so she will read them and take extra precautions at snack time. If your child has an extensive list of allergies, we recommend your child bring a snack.

What does baby dedication look like and how do I sign-up?

We offer baby dedication twice a year—once in the spring and once in the fall. Signs will be put out in the Farm to remind you to sign your child up. You will also see reminders in the worship guide and hear reminders from the main stage when it comes time to sign your child up. Once you sign your child up, we will have an orientation class to go over the aspects of the big day. You are encouraged to invite family members as we will celebrate with a party in your child’s environment after the dedication takes place.

In what ways can I become involved in my preschooler's environment?

We are always looking for extra help in our preschool ministry. If you are interested in volunteering you can speak with either Kiki McDaniel, Director of Children's Ministries,  or one of our current volunteers who can answer your questions and help set you up for further involvement with our preschool ministry.

Who do I contact if I have more questions about XKidz Farm or Neighborhood Ministries?
