Kids

We believe the Bible is exciting, worship can be really loud, and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these three things stick:

  1. I need to make the wise choice.
  2. I can trust God no matter what.
  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The focus for Xkidz City and Route 45 is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God's Word fits into their lives, learn how to talk to Him, and build friendships that will last. That's why it's important to make sure your child connects with the same friends and same leaders at the same hour—EVERY SUNDAY! Xkidz City and Route 45 are available during the 9:00am and 11:15am services.

Xkidz City (K – 3rd Grade)

Xkidz City is our small group environment for elementary children grades K-3rd. We use music, storytelling, and small groups so kids build quality friendships with adult leaders and other kids. Our teaching is based on 36 character virtues and 4 basic truths that build character and faith in Jesus Christ to prepare them for their teenage years.

Route 45 (4th and 5th Graders)

Route 45’s worship environment is designed to help preteens experience and explore their faith. We use music, storytelling and small groups so kids build quality friendships with other kids and our adult leaders. Our teaching is based on 36 character virtues and 4 basic truths that build character and faith in Jesus Christ.

Special Needs Ministry: City Friends!

The Special Needs Ministry exists to provide a gospel-centered, inclusive environment for individuals with specific needs. We not only want to serve these individuals but also partner with their families as they participate in the life of the church.

We want to help any child or student who faces unique challenges related to physical, mental, behavioral, medical or emotional needs that would benefit from additional support, helping enable them to hear the gospel and fully participate in the mission of Crossroads Church.

In most situations, we use a buddy system where the individual is matched with an adult buddy who will provide individual care in a classroom of peers. Buddies are provided during our 11:15 service.

What does a buddy do?

Buddies simply act as a helper. They are an extra volunteer who helps when necessary and to the degree necessary. The primary goal of our buddies is to provide an environment where people of all needs can hear the gospel in a way that is clear to them.
